Remixing old hit songs is quite a trend in the Hindi Music Industry. Following this, singer Neha Kakkar recreated Falguni Pathak's iconic song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ and its teaser was recently released on social media, however, it did not go down well with netizens. Shortly after the teaser was dropped, people started trolling Kakkar saying she ruined their childhood. The revamped version of the song featuring Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma has failed to impress fans.

T-series on Sunday dropped the small teaser of the song on their social media handles. Netizens in no time took to the comments section of the post to share their reactions. Absolutely horrendous.” Another wrote, “absolute beautiful song it was untill u ruined it with this voice.” One comment read, “As always neha kakkar has ruined our childhood memory.” ALSO READ: Neha Kakkar On Getting TROLLED For Crying On A Reality Show: ‘You May Find Me Fake, I Have That Quality In Me And Have No Regrets About It’

The recreated song is directed by Vijay Singh and its lyrics are penned by Jaani and Lalit Sen. ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ sung by Falguni is one of the most loved and popular songs of the 90s. It starred Falguni, Vivan Bhatena, and Nikhila Palat and the song struck the right chords with the audience. Even after so many years, the soulful track is loved by the masses.

Talking about Neha, she is currently seen judging the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 13’ and she often gets trolled for getting emotional while hearing struggling and heart-wrenching stories of contestants on the show.
